A car with air conditioning has up to 10,000,000 more micro-organisms in the heating system than a car with out air conditioning. These micro- organisms, due to their size, can pass through filters with little difficulty.Fact

What we do..

Aluminium and Rubber pipes repair

We can repair aluminium and rubber pipes when advisable to do so.

  • From £45 +VAT

Leak Sealant*

Where a leak test shows up a very small leak it may be possible to fix this type of leak
without replacing a part or making a repair to that part.

This sealant is specially formulated for Air Conditioning systems (both old and new) to seal existing leaks, and remains in the system to seal any future leaks.

  • From £35.20 (inc. VAT)

Anti-Bacterial Service

If your Air Conditioning is smelling we would recommend that the system is tested to make sure the correct amount of refrigerant is present and if it is we would then recommend that you should run your air conditioning for two weeks constantly in most cases this will get rid of the smell, if it doesn’t then we can help by doing an anti-bacterial service.
We treat the evaporator with a specially formulated Air Conditioner anti-bacterial spray that kills all the bugs and leaves your air conditioning smelling sweet.

It is also advisable to change the pollen filter when an anti-bacterial service is carried out.

  • £25 + VAT (as part of a service) or £45 + VAT (on its own)

Pollen Filters

More than 80% of vehicles, whether fitted with air conditioning or not, are already equipped with pollen / cabin filters. Many drivers do not realise that these filters are fitted and should be changed at least every year or 12,000 miles.

There are two main classifications of filter:

Standard Filters
These help stop dust, soot, pollen and particles from entering the vehicle.

Carbon Filters
These work as the standard filter plus filtering potentially harmful gases and unpleasant odours from the air entering the vehicle.

Most filters are relatively easy to fit. We can supply and fit to most vehicles but these parts need to be ordered prior to booking as each make and model of car has a different filter.

Leak Testing with Oxygen Free Nitrogen (OFN)

This test will be carried out if a leak is suspected and will be free with any re-gas service.

Fridge and Chiller Van Conversions

Following our association with COOLKIT we are now able to offer fridge and chiller van conversions to a new or your existing vehicle. We can fit GAH, Hubbard, Thermo King or Carrier refrigeration systems the choice is yours.

Prices vary from van to van and kit to kit. Please ring for a free no obligation estimate.

*Please note – the leak repair option will only work for very small leaks and should be approached with caution. Major leaks need to be dealt within the proper manner by replacing the faulty parts. We will advise as appropriate and customers should recognise that there is a degree of uncertainty attached to this treatment. Once attempted we regret that we can not refund the cost of this procedure if it fails to fix the problem.
Warning
It has been known for systems to be Re-Charged using Hydrocarbon based refrigerants e.g. propane or methane mixtures as these gases are cheaper. This means you could be driving around with a potentially lethal mix of gases in your system which in the event of an accident/collision could lead to the risk of an explosion.
If you suspect your system may have been recharged with such a mixture, why not have InTo Cool run a free check for we aim to keep the air conditioning system of your vehicle working as well as it was originally designed to.

What we don’t do!

We don’t do ‘top ups’ – whilst it is possible to get a system working by just adding more refrigerant, it is very bad practice. Without knowing what refrigerant and how much is in the system, it is impossible to correctly charge a vehicle. The result of ‘topping up’ is usually an expensive repair.
We don’t use compressed air to test for leaks as air adds moisture to the system and can leave residual oxygen which when, mixed with refrigerant and compressed can be explosive. Testing by vacuuming alone is misleading.
