    Run your A/C regularly

    Run your air conditioning all year round as this will lubricate the system and reduce leakage. Run the system for at least 20 minutes a month.

    A/C in the winter as well as summer months

    Using your air conditioning in the winter with your heat on it will demist the windows in seconds.

    Regular checkups

    Have your air conditioning checked every year as this will highlight any problems before they become too serious.

    Fuel consumption

    We're all concerned with fuel consumption, but modern vehicle air conditioning systems are very efficient as long as the system is maintained correctly. Turning the A/C off results in minimal fuel savings and opening a window can use more.

    Don't ignore problems

    Don't ignore any problems with your air conditioning. You may be able to tolerate weaker cooling but the oil with in the system will not be circulating properly causing internal wear and tear.

    For really hot days (we do get them)..

    On extremely hot days use the recirculation button to boost performance. Please note it is not advisable to leave on recirculation all the time as there will be no fresh air coming in to the car, and this can lead to drowsiness due to lack of oxygen.

    Allergens and pollutants

    Have your pollen filter/cabin filter changed regularly as the pollen filter removes up to 99% of allergens and pollutants. In fact, a clogged cabin filter / pollen filter reduces the air flow into your car, thus reducing cooling efficiency.
